SnapSpaces was originally built as a surprise wedding gift for our founder’s cousin. Engineer by trade and film photographer by hobby, she was looking at their registry but wanted to give them something more unique.
People used to leave disposable cameras out at their wedding reception for guests, but that is both expensive and a lot of work in an age where everyone has a quality camera at their fingertips (their phone).
She built a little one-off site to collect photos from their guests at the rehearsal dinner and wedding, and made business cards with the QR code for access and left them on the tables and bars throughout the rehearsal dinner and reception.
After their wedding, several people asked about getting sites for their friends or loved ones. A few weddings and a major technical overhaul later: here we are.
